About Me
About Me
I am an accredited psychotherapist with 15 years' experience of providing therapeutic support to individuals having worked in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in private practice.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and I am UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) registered psychotherapist.
In addition to my clinical work, I have also worked as a Lecturer at Birmingham City University teaching and supporting students on the MSc. Integrative Psychotherapy course.
My Approach
In much of my work, I use a humanistic Gestalt approach.
Gestalt therapy aims to raise awareness of emotions and feelings by focusing on your experience in the present moment. As a therapist I can help you to become aware of what you are doing and how you are doing it. In becoming more aware of yourself and your environment, you may move towards growth, change and a greater acceptance of yourself.
Although Gestalt provides the basis for much of my work, I do integrate other types of therapy into this core approach in order to meet the needs of my clients.

I have a special interest in mindfulness and specialise in working with the acceptance and management of physical health issues.
